Also Taqizdamrī Mosque, Shawwā Mosque (Jāmiʿ al-Shawwā, according to Gatt). The building dates from 762H/1360-61 AD (cf. Mubayyiḍ, Bināyāt, 223-230).

According to Taabbāʿ a masjid, not jāmiʿ in the strict sense. Built in 767 by the Circassian prince Shihāb al-Dīn Aḥmad Ibn Ẓafīr al- Ṭaqzdamrī. Destroyed and renovated several times, including WW1. Shihāb al-Dīn's grave is in one of the rooms of the mosque. The names "al-Ẓafar Dhamrī" and "al-Qazamrī" are malpropisms. (Tabbāʿ, vol. 2, p. 144).
